Some random things I’ve seen in October 2012. I came upon a minivan that had rolled-over, around 7:30am on my drive to work. The driver had briefly fallen asleep, drifted onto the shoulder, awoke and corrected too harshly.
( unrelated: beautiful music, Dvorak – II. Adagio ma non troppo, uploaded for a friend. )
I was the first helper on the scene. The driver was uninjured and had managed to somehow crawl out of the van by herself.
I attended a symphony, my first time as a season-ticket holder, something I decided to “give it a try” this year. They sounded great, but the composers music (Chopin, Mendelssohn) was for me… sleep inducing (almost).
We also got a tour of the Davis Organ in the Winspear concert hall, in Edmonton.
Oct 30, 2012 update. A big knife is a tool, always handy. My friend Lloyd needed to carve a pumpkin. A Cold Steel Tanto is the obvious choice.
