At short notice, I flew Camrose to Vancouver last weekend, invited to display my airplane at the Boundary Bay Airshow. My Expedition E350 is Canadian-made, but there’s only a few of them in Canada. I think it was popular! A line up of people all day long, were taking pictures, posing in and in front of my plane.
I enjoyed seeing all the vintage planes and aerobatic showmanship too, of course.
And the trip over the BC mountains was very memorable too. I landed in Chilliwack, BC to refuel,
Here’s the Alberta start of the Rocky Mountains, at sunrise in late July. No snow. But as I flew westward into BC, the clouds got thicker, lower, and rainy.
So, soon I was forced to be flying below the clouds in the mountain valleys. I followed a new route too, along the Fraser river to Hope. Dodging clouds in the valleys too.
