Workshop

August 15, 2011 By Steven Halls

Pictures of the equipment in my workshop. It’s rather messy at the moment, with several projects underway. You’ll see pictures of CNC mill, lathe, drill press, planer, grinder, workbenches, jointer, table saw, band saw, wood lathe, mitre saw, spindle sander, belt sander, etc.

I accumulated nearly all of these workshop machines, from Kijiji, at good prices. (yes, even the 1988 Morgan +8, I found on Kijiji.)

Posting these also serves as documentation for insurance purposes, and for whenever I need to show someone who wants to do some work in my shop, I can show them what equipment is there.

By the way, my thanks go out to Roger Garand, husband of Lil Garand (a CT tech at St. Mary’s Hospital, where I work.) Roger did a lot of the setup work of this workshop, and he is brilliant. Some of the eqipment shown above, is his.

Look at the wonderful light in these pictures. Hangar has big windows on the upper floor, facing south, and the plexiglass walls of the workshop also let the natural light come into the space. (yes, the fluorescent ceiling lights are also on, but natural light is the biggest factor.)
