Landscaping Lot 2 begins in earnest

June 15, 2013 By Steven Halls

Dan and Janet have begun some serious work toward the goal of clearing and landscaping lot 2 on Hudson Island (which currently is un-walkable due to scruffy brush and fallen logs). They found and bought this John Deer landscaping tractor, with a lot of attachments, and a load of cedar lumber to build a shed for it.

I know there will be a mess created, so we got some black dirt, to eventually spread around and plant with grass seed, to heal up the areas that get damaged or dug up.

You can see the sign “Saltair Marine”, of 10801 Chemainus Rd, Ladysmith, BC V9G 2A4, phone 250-245-8027. (Useful to remember for next time I need a barge)

June 16, 2013 update. Here’s a few trees marked with ribbons on Lot 2, that are large enough for treehouse supports.
