Kindof random pictures from the trip to Hudson Island. Pictures from flying above, of the runway (very dry), the boathouse framing, picking blackberries, and inside the log house.

Panorama Camera – good for big family photos (Note 3 Samsung)
Big family dinner gatherings, are hard to photograph. I’m really enjoying what the panorama mode on my Note 3 Samsung camera can do.
Even circular tables, look cool.

Boathouse
Startings of a covered storage area for kayaks, rowboat+trailer and workboat trailer, as well as to get other equipment out of the rain. These pictures from the island are posted to aid our communication between me (in Camrose), Don and Roger (on the island), and Daryl (in Edmonton). Ground leveling, and concrete pilings are laid, posts are appearing. It is being built in-between trees, and will have one living tree in the center.

Grass growing – why is that interesting?
Grass is now growing where there used to impenetrable tangled bushes, followed by muddy swamp, and is very exciting, for me. Recall the process: buying a forestry mulcher, trucking and barging it to the island, mowing down the bushes, digging drainage trenches, lots of reshaping and smoothing the surfaces. Grass seed didn’t grow 2 prior times it was spread. This 3rd time succeeded because the seeds were a special mix for coastal revegitation, the seeds were soaked in water overnight, (or up to 24 hrs), and they were raked into the dirt (not just sprinkled on top), and then watered a lot ( requiring boat trips to bring freshwater tanks to the island). My neighbors probably thought I was making a destructive big mess.
